The Healthy Weight Loss Dietitians

Advanced Lab Testing

Are you constantly fatigued, losing hair, or bloated? Are you struggling with mental fogginess, stubborn weight, cravings, mood swings, anxiety, or infertility? Too many women write these off as “part of life”. Or you’ve been told by doctors that “it’s all in your head” or “just eat less and exercise more”, sound familiar? You feel deep down that your symptoms have deeper causes but you keep getting offered band-aid solutions like antibiotics, birth control, and antidepressants. If you’re ready to take charge of your health journey rather than looking for someone to “fix” you, it’s time to take a look at root causes and upstream/functional lab markers, rather than the standard "it's all normal" bloodwork that you get from your doctor that’s simply looking for markers to diagnose disease and prescribe medication.

How Is Functional Lab Testing Different Than My What My Doctor Runs? 👇

All testing is done within the context of our Ditch the Diet program. It’s important to work with a dietitian on our team to determine the best testing options for you, have the results reviewed in the context of your goals, and develop a plan for implementation. We analyze the results and make recommendations in the areas of food, lifestyle, and supplements. We also take those results and incorporate them into your customized meal plan and overall weight loss strategy. Our testing options include blood, saliva, urine as well as stool lab testing to help determine the underlying causes of ill or non-optimal health to help bring your body and mind back into a state of balance and harmony.

This test can reveal a person’s functional nutritional status over the last 4-6 months. This is a foundational test that we recommend for everyone, but particularly vegans/vegetarians, athletes, any medical conditions, post-pregnancy, and general unwanted symptoms.

Want To Go Deeper?

Our advanced hormone (DUTCH) and comprehensive gut test (Gut Zoomer) are also exclusively run within our 6-8 month Ditch the Diet coaching program. Why do we only run these tests within our program? Hormone and gut rebalancing are not overnight fixes. These imbalances take months to recorrect through targeted diet, supplement, and lifestyle interventions. A 30-minute consultation doesn’t scratch the surface of the work needing to be done. We want to walk with clients through the journey of restoring their hormone and gut health to ensure the best implementation and results. Comprehensive Gut Stool Test

Dutch Hormone Test

The gut microbiome resides in your large intestine and is host to more than 1000 species of bacteria that perform certain important functions. It is important to know the abundances of the bacteria that symbiotically live in the human gastrointestinal tract because imbalances in the gut microbiome may lead to gastrointestinal symptoms, skin conditions, autoimmune disorders, immune system imbalances, and multiple inflammatory disorders.
