Kayley’s Supplement Store
Welcome to my supplement store! Here I curated the top 5 supplements that I recommended time after time to my clients. Although we can get more targeted supplement recommendations with lab work (part of our 1:1 coaching program), these options are a good starting point. It's easy to purchase online and have them shipped directly to you. Fullscript is registered to accept both HSA and FSA debit cards. I use this dispensary because it offers pharmaceutical grade supplements that can only be accessed by medical practitioners. All products are tested for quality and effectiveness, which is something you can't guarantee with over-the-counter products (since the supplement industry is barely regulated by the FDA). Also, by purchasing here you will save 10% on your order. I recommend doubling up on products you will need in the future so that you can get free shipping ($50 minimum).
Vitamin D
So many vitamin D products I see women taking are low doses with low absorption. This Vitamin D3 5,000 + K provides 5,000 IU per softgel of vitamin D and includes bioavailable forms of vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) to complement vitamin D. Signs of vitamin D deficiency include low energy, low immunity, depression/low mood, weak bones, and poor sleep.
B Complex
I see lab after lab from women with low B vitamins. Most women are low on B vitamins thanks to birth control and stress - two main drivers of low Bs. The B vitamins can also be depleted by alcohol, digestive issues, anti-depressants, and a host of other medications. B vitamins are critical for energy as well as neurotransmitter and hormone production. Signs of low B vitamins include low energy, anxiety, ADHD, brain fog, thinning hair, and fibromyalgia.
Omega-3s
It’s rare that I see a lab report with good omega-3 balance. Our society is full of processed products and inflammatory chemicals that drive an imbalanced omega ratio (good fats to bad fats). Nordic Naturals is the only brand I recommend for omega-3 supplements. No fishy taste and high quality ingredients! If you aren’t eating seafood multiple times a week, an omega-3 is a good idea.
Multi-Vitamin
If you just need a good baseline supplement to bridge the gaps, Twice Daily Multi is my choice. It uses higher quality ingredients than most multivitamins, including vitamin E as high gamma mixed-tocopherols, a highly bioavailable form of folate, and true amino acid chelate minerals for optimal tolerance and absorption.
Magnesium
Don’t go shopping for magnesium if you don’t know what kind or dose you are looking for! You’ll probably end up with a laxative. Magnesium is one of the leading deficiencies in the US and the right supplement can work wonders. This magnesium glycerinate is a highly absorbable form that supports muscle relaxation and nervous system health.
